European Karate Championship for adults (minimum age for competitors must be 18 years on the day of competition) and juniors (born between 2006 and 2007). Two participants per country in each kumite and kata category. Host country has one extra participant in each kumite and kata category.
Adults:
- Kumite women: -50, 50-54, 54-59, 59-65, +65 kg
- Kumite men: -60, 60-70, 70-80, 80-90, +90 kg

Juniors U18:
- Kumite girls: -50, 50-55, 55-60, 60-65, +65 kg
- Kumite boys: -60, 60-65, 65-70, 70-75, 75-80, +80 kg
